Suspects wanted for attacks on police in Philly, Camden, New Jersey and New Castle County, Delaware – WPVI-TV

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Delaware (WPVI)– Law enforcement firms throughout the country and here in the tri-state area are on high alert after recent attacks on police.Police in New Castle County, Delaware say they are looking for the guy accused of opening fire on an officer on Saturday. Police say officers were called to North Thistle Way in the community of Glasgow Pines for a report of gunshots being heard in the location.

Upon arrival, officers came across the alleged suspect and a foot chase ensued. At some time throughout the chase, police state the suspect turned to officers and fired a weapon. No officers were injured.The suspect, 22-year-old Khairon William Edwards had the ability to get away. He is dealing with attempted murder charges.

“The apprehension of this hazardous suspect is the top concern for our company, and we will aggressively pursue every lead up until he remains in custody,” said Colonel Vaughn M. Bond, Jr. of the New Castle County Police Department.On Friday, authorities in

Philadelphia state Jeffione Thomas, 28, and another suspect opened fire on officers in an unmarked vehicle. Thomas was allegedly on a bike and officers asked him if he required assistance prior to the gunfire started. Three officers were inside the lorry at the time of the shooting. Fortunately, all three were not seriously injured. A minimum of one bullet penetrated the unmarked police vehicle and hit a male officer, however the bullet was dropped in the officer's vest
