JACKSON, MI– Police apprehended a motorist last night suspected of driving under the influence and crashing into a physician's workplace, reports MLIVE's Andrew Mullin.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m., June 13 near Fourth Street and West Michigan Avenue stated Jackson Police Sgt. Jason Ganzhorn.
Ganzhorn said the suspect was going northbound on Fourth Street, did not stop at the stop sign and drove throughout Michigan Avenue. The suspect then crashed into a chiropractic clinic throughout the street, he stated.
The motorist then left the scene on foot and was nabbed and arrested a brief distance away from the scene on charges of DUI and hit-and-run, Ganzhorn stated.
The driver suffered small injuries, Ganzhorn stated. While he does not understand the complete extent of the damage to the building, he stated it is relatively extensive.Source: wlns.com
