ORLANDO, Fla.– Orlando cops say a man who threatened to shoot up a chiropractic physician's workplace is now in custody.
The man had actually walked into the Orlando Health Medical Center on East Colonial Drive Aug. 18 around 1:30 p.m. and made the verbal risk with a weapon, according to an Orlando Police Department press release.
Cops got multiple 911 calls from the office with people stating they were frightened of leaving the structure.
“He simply came within and looked at the coffee maker and I was like ‘you can get coffee if you desire' and he was like ‘No. If everyone's not out the door in 20 minutes everyone's getting shot,” a caller informed a 911 dispatcher.
The man stayed in the office for a few minutes prior to walking away towards Westmoreland and Colonial Drive where officers eventually detained him.
Nearby schools and companies went on lockdown up until officers gave the clear.
Orlando authorities did not provide any other details.Source: clickorlando.com
