CAMDEN, NJ– After closing trips following Labor Day with income seeing a visible decline, Battleship New Jersey revealed Wednesday it will be back this weekend for “Fire Power” walkthroughs of its largest vessel.
The Board of Trustees of the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial says it will “re-open with a bang,” supplying not just tours starting Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. however arbitrarily picking guests to fire a portside saluting weapon throughout the day.
Participants also have the chance to fire the weapon for a $50 contribution.
“We are grateful to both the legislature and Governor Phil Murphy for seeing the importance of the Battleship New Jersey to both our region and state, and including our nation's most embellished battleship in the budget,” stated Marshall Spevak, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Battleship New Jersey. “The Battleship is one of New Jersey's greatest tourist attractions, and we can now have trainees and families back aboard to experience first-hand a national icon located right here on the Camden Waterfront.”
