The Republican company line for guv in Camden County will go to former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli after the celebration's executive committee signed off throughout a teleconference.
This is Ciattarelli's very first official classification of a line.
While he had previously won the endorsement of twelve Republican county chairs– Camden's Rich Ambrosino is his 13th– Camden is the very first to complete the by-laws procedure of awarding the line.
“CCGOP's by-laws state the chairman has the authority to award the organization line to candidates, but I choose to be more inclusive and generally rely on a screening committee to talk to candidates and make a recommendation,” stated Ambrosino. “With Doug Steinhardt's exit from the race a screening committee is no longer essential, Jack Ciattarelli gets the line in Camden County.”
With the filing deadline to seek the endorsement of Republican vote-rich Ocean County over last Saturday, Ciattarelli deals with 4 challengers in the GOP primary: Ocean County Commissioner Joseph Vicari; Brian D. Levine, a former Somerset freeholder and Franklin Township mayor; business owner Joseph Rudy Rullo; and seasonal candidate Hirsh Singh.
“There is no requirement to pretend, Jack Ciattarelli is getting our line due to the fact that he is plainly the best candidate in the race and the only one with the ability to unite the GOP and bring enough Democrats and Independents with us to make Phil Murphy one and done in 21,” stated Ambrosino. “The other prospects do not need to trouble wasting cash on a stamp to send by mail a letter of intent or pertain to any CCGOP events, there is absolutely no opportunity we will reevaluate.”
Ciattarelli has won county chair recommendations in Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Essex, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Monmouth, Passaic, and Salem counties.
Republican county chairs in Cape May, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Sussex, Union and Warren counties have not yet announced their assistance of any prospect. The Warren chair is Doug Steinhardt, who left of the race for guv on January 11.
“Now it is time for our company to get to work and advise every voter that it is Phil Murphy's policies that eliminated nursing home locals, permanently closed organizations, raised our taxes and stuck us with financial obligation that our grandchildren will have to pay off.” Stated Ambrosino. “Thanks to Phil Murphy New Jersey is broken and only Jack Ciattarelli can fix it.”
